Student Wellbeing Leaders

The school has a dedicated student wellbeing leader, Mr Jake Carrick-Smith who supports students in all Year levels. Assisting him are several Youth workers, counselors, a Pastoral Care Worker (PCW) and members of leadership.

The role of the student wellbeing leader is to support students learning and wellbeing. Student wellbeing leaders are available to assist students with their needs throughout the day via booked appointments. Mr Carrick-Smith's office is conveniently located on B-Floor in the Middle School Area.

Our student wellbeing leaders are responsible for a range of duties including;

  • Enrolment of students
  • Course counselling
  • Subject counselling
  • Career counselling
  • Grief / loss / personal counselling
  • Health and wellbeing
  • Substance use referral and support
  • Parental support and advice
  • Student support and advocacy
  • Transition visits
  • Access to support agencies
Mr. Carrick-Smith is approachable in the first instance by making an appointment via student services (Front Office) or via our email referral system.
